Vanessa Williams Johnson is a New Orleans native who currently lives with her family in the Chicagoland area. A graduate of Clark Atlanta University and Saint Xavier University, Vanessa has spent the last 30+ years as an educator in Chicago Public Schools, with the last 20+ years as Principal, Assistant Principal and Dean of Students. Vanessa has dedicated her career to developing and empowering school leaders. As a former principal, she mentored first year principals while mentoring assistant and resident principals who have become outstanding principals of thriving schools. This hands-on experience informs her approach as an educational consultant, where she specializes in coaching principals, assistant principals, and aspiring leaders.
